Bible Journaling Sermon Series
The Bible paints a beautiful picture of Christianity—one full of hope and redemption. The Christ Alone sermon series dives into the book of Colossians in the Bible to explore this sacred faith further. Through Bible journaling I had the unique opportunity to paint in my Bible and highlight the underlying themes and messages as they were discussed. It was an amazing chance to study God's word while being creative, and I loved it! It was truly an enlightening experience that has stayed with me ever since.
The Bible is full of lessons that encourage us to continue growing and developing a relationship with Christ. The sermon series this was created for is called "Christ Alone" all about the book of Colossians. As part of this process, I engaged in creative Bible journaling—where I used paint and markers to add color and visuals to what I was studying in Colossians. Paint can be incredibly special when it comes to Bible studies—for myself, it allowed me to truly reflect on each phrase and each verse that I encountered. As I searched for colors representative of God's Word and painted scripture into my Bible margins, I felt real connection to God's truth. My Bible really became an engaging object, causing me to pause in readings and insightfully study the text more deeply than ever before.
