While working for Hillcrest Baptist Church, one of the most creative projects every year was to design the theming around the Christmas concert. I tried to do something different and extra creative every year. The most complicated one was this. Each of the flowers and pieces of foliage were handmade with crepe paper. I dug into the meaning of the plants and flowers and assembled and photographed them. The final photographs are something I’m really proud of and we used the crepe paper flowers in the church’s Christmas tree and in arrangements around campus.

Through the process I tried a few color themes before landing on the more classic Christmas reds and burgundy. The purple photos and flowers turned out really nice.
